I am Caoimhe, from Belfast, Ireland. I work as an outdoor development officer in Tollymore for The Outdoor Partnership. I have a real passion for the outdoors and using it to get people to realise their potential and grow. I have been working with young people in the outdoors for over 10 years. Leading me in 2017 to attempting a solo expedition around Ireland.
Ireland taught me a lot about myself as a person and paddler. Being in your own head for that length of time teaches you about yourself and allows time to reflect. I came to realise I had the knowledge and resilience to get to the other side. Though going back to normality of working life had its challenges. I gained the confidence to travel and work in Canada where I had a great time working for Blue Dog kayaking and furthering my coaching and leadership skills sea kayaking.
I enjoy all things outdoors, but the water has a particular attraction!
Currently, I am working my way through the British Canoeing pathways to become an Advanced Sea leader, White Water Kayak leader, Canoe coach and provider of leadership and coach awards. Whilst taking opportunities and finding new adventure on and off the water.
